stephen sheehy

My name is Stephen Sheehy. I am a highly trained media professional working in the areas of video, radio and photography. I am originally from Ireland but currently living in Brooklyn, New York. 

I am a graduate of the Institute of Technology, Tallaght with a BA in Creative Digital Media, having previously attended The King's Hospital School. 

Film has always been my greatest passion and I have worked on a wide range of film and video projects in a number of different roles including writing, directing, cinematography and editing.

I am proficient in editing video using Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro as well as audio in Pro Tools and being able to edit images and video using Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and After Effects. I am also skilled in using a wide range of video and audio equipment from DSLR cameras to Portable Broadcasting set-ups.

Since leaving college I have been primarily working as an Assistant Editoron shows for RTE ONE such as "Making It Down Under" and "Other Voices", as well as doing freelance work.

I have produced and presented a wide range of live radio shows and podcasts, including a weekly light entertainment show "Drivetime" and a film review and talk show "CineCraic". As well as being heavily involved in the ITT Radio Society in which I served as Deputy Station Manager 2015/16. During which time the society was awarded the BICS Awards for Best Society and Best Event.

My hobbies include photography, rugby, weightlifting, cycling, surfing, travelling, writing and drawing.
